Guy is currently pursuing his goal of becoming a University professor in the field of exercise physiology. His energy, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills make his presentation style enjoyable and effective. Guy's concern for his audience is readily apparent and his desire to educate and inspire does not go unnoticed. Guy has worked with world class athletes for 5 years, and at 29 his experience has put him in a great position to develop into a leading authority in the area of exercise physiology.

His association with Dr. Martin Collis, Canada's leading authority on workplace health and wellness, is providing Guy with an excellent opportunity further develop his speaking and teaching skills.

Background
  • Undergraduate and Masters of Science Degrees from the University of Victoria in the area of exercise physiology.

  • Completed Masters Degree under Dr. Howie Wenger, former Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology President and world renowned applied exercise physiologist. (see the article 'Is It In Your Toolbox?')

  • As a 25 year old, he coordinated the off-ice training for the New York Rangers at their 1995 Training Camp in Burlington Vermont.

  • Retained as the Los Angeles Kings fitness consultant for 4 years, where he implemented the off-ice fitness programs, in-season nutrition and recovery strategies, and players' fitness assessments.

  • Developed the Pro-Camp training regimes for the Los Angeles Kings prospects, held in Thunder Bay with the Florida Panthers.

  • Developed and delivered health and fitness retreats to The Executive Committee, an international organization of CEOs.

  • Coordinated and instructed in the anatomy and physiology labs at the University of Victoria throughout his Undergraduate and Masters programs.

  • Coordinated and delivered fitness testing, employee fitness, workplace hardiness and wellness for numerous employee groups including the B.C. Wildland Fire Fighters, R.C.M.P., NHL scouts and executive staff, B.C. Ministry of Forestry executives and B.C. Tel.
